Utah - Anasazi State Park

This little park turns out to have one of the best collection of Anasazi artifacts I've ever seen.  It was the site of an Ancestral Pueblo village and has yielded more than 160,000 finds.  The displays were interesting, artfully done, and very informative.

From the excavated ruins, it is suggested that the pueblo probably looked like this

A kiva, or room used for religious rituals, reached by climbing down a ladder, which represents their belief that their people emerged from below the earth during creation.

Rice grass was an important staple food.  They would cut it, winnow the rice and roast the tiny grains.

There was an outstanding collection of arrowheads, and spear points, made out of some unusual and beautiful materials

The oldest known artifact ever discovered on the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument:
A rare find - a Clovis point, 11,000 years old!
Some fine examples of their pottery, some 900 years old!
